Fall Asleep
This song is extremely personal as it talks about the death of my grandmother and how I was not able to handle it. Due to this, I began having problems with my mental health.
I wrote 'Fall Asleep' as a way to process and work through the emotions I was going through and in some way, heal with time.
You Showed Me Better
This song relates the story about a toxic relationship I was in.
I wrote the verses as a way to look back at the good and nostalgic parts of the relationship, but as the song progresses, the emotions slowly change from happy to angry.
The chorus reflects this anger as it focuses on the pain and trust issues that were caused by that relationship.
In the end, it resolves in the relationship ending, and teaching me a lesson that I deserved better.
